My beauty wish list

Hi, so today I wanted to share with you my beauty wish list, there are so many products on this wish list that I've really had to narrow it down to my top favourite that I really want but at the moment but just cant quite justify buying them yet and because I have other products similar that I want use up first before.

So the first thing on my beauty wish list is the Clarisonic mia.

I have wanted one of these ever since I watched Dulcecandy87 night time skin routine, her skin always looks so flawless and I really want to try it out and see if it works for me.

Second on my list is the benefit stay flawless 15hr primer

This I really am desperate to try! and I love the packaging it looks so cute.

Also from benefit is the high beam luminescent complexion enhancer.

Next is the Sigma essentials kit - Mrs Bunny

I really do need to get myself some sigma brushes I see them used on YouTube tutorials all the time and I'm like ah I need to get me some of those!
these one I think are so pretty and are $120.00 which converted is £78.68 which I don't think is to bad for 12 brushes that makes them less than £10 each!

Then last on my list is three products from l'occitane.
I have the Angelica hydration crème which I featured in my may favourites and because I love that so much I'm really keen to try out more products in the Angelica line.

Angelica cleansing gel

 Angelica eye roll on

And the Angelica ultra matte fluid

So I'm hoping in future posts I will have some of these so I can review them and tell you if they really are worth me wanting them all so badly!

June BirchBox

Hi, I've not posted for a couple of weeks as I've been super busy and then when I have finally had a moment to myself I've either been suffering with migraines been ill or like this week Ethan has been ill! so really not good he has chicken pox at the moment and he is handling it very well to my surprise as I thought he would be picking and scratching like crazy...but I'm also hearing from people that if you don't get it bad the first time you could get it again! so if anybody knows if this is true please let me know as I'm praying he doesn't get it twice. Also some exciting news I got excepted into college to do a beauty therapy level 2 NVQ so I am over the moon about that as its always what I've wanted to do, so I cant wait for September so can get stuck in!
But that's enough rambling lets see what's in this box.

The theme of the box this month is festival chic, which is perfect for my summer my mood as me and my boyfriend are going to V festival so its getting me super excited for that!

I love that you get a mini magazine with the BirchBox that tells you about the products in your box and also other great products that tie in with theme of the box.

Inside the box were these really cute little post cards of different destinations around the world and also a little card with a description of the products in my box.

The little bag that the products come in inside the box, now this is one thing that I love about the BirchBox as I use these for little bits and bobs in my bag when I travel.

So the first thing in the box was a model co eye define eye pencil in the colour black 01.
It has a built in sharpener and on the pack it says
up to 12 hour wear
intense colour
smudge proof
and it also claims its suitable for sensitive eyes so I'm excited to try it out.

This is the full size one 1.2g

Next is this colour club professional nail lacquer in the colour London calling this and three others come in a set called the wanderlust collection you can buy all for just £10.00. I really love this colour and cant wait to try it.

This is a full size bottle 7ml

Then next is beauty protector protect and detangle leave in conditioner.
and on the back it reads
instant detangler, thermal protector, UV protector, seals cuticles, smoothes hair, locks in colour, adds shine, weightless, non-greasy, conditions, for all hair types and it recommends to use daily.
I tried some on my hand and its a thick liquid and it smells amazing, so again I'm really looking forward to trying this and hoping that's it is as good as it smells.

Product number four is this noble isle willow song, lavenham walk bath & shower gel.
on the back of the bottle it says an unreservedly romantic fragrance, with floaty green florals and soothing extracts of willow and water lilly.

And then last we have a coola face classic sunscreen cucumber moisturizer its SPF 30 and it's organic.
Also it's green friendly, recycle friendly and cruelty friendly.

Also in my box I got a cute little box with another colour club professional nail lacquer in the colour mod in Manhattan and a little card with details on how to subscribe, so you could give this box to a friend with the nail varnish to recommend them to BirchBox.

I'm really happy with what I have in my box this month and look forward to trying all the products
Stay tuned for a review on them.

fancy dress costume.. 1920s flapper

Hi!

It was one of my friends 18th birthday party on Friday and she had a pink themed fancy dress party which was also to raise money for breast cancer care. I originally wanted to dress up as a pink cupcake but the outfit had sold out in every fancy dress shop I tried so I decided to go as a flapper, I was so unsure about the outfit at first because it seemed so short and I hardly ever wear short dresses or skirts but one I was all ready and it felt OK and I wore a pair of skin colour tights so I felt more covered up.

My outfit

a close up of the dress

The dress, gloves and headband are from a local fancy dress shop but I'll pop a link at the bottom of a couple of fancy dress shops that stock it.
The bracelets are from Primark and the necklace is florence and fred from Tesco.

A close up of the head band.

make up and hair

I choose to go for a smokey eye but keeping it just on my top lid a bright pink lip and a pink blush. I was going to try and recreate a 20s make up look but didn't want to look to dramatic as the dress was really the statement.

may favourites

Hi!

Here are my may favourites, I have so many at the moment but I had to really whittle it down to my absolute best favourites or we would be here all day! I will also link at the bottom where you can get the products.

so here we go...

my first favourite is the Rimmel match perfection face powder in the shade 001 translucent. I love this as it's really light but the coverage is brilliant. I have an oily T zone and that is mostly where I use it an it works wonders for me I don't like to use a face powder all over my face as I like my skin to look dewy and fresh but for my oily areas and to touch up though out the day its perfect.

                                                                      £6.99/10g

My next favourite is the L'Occitane crème radieuse hydration cream, this is a cream I am in love with. I got this sample pot in my may glossy box and I will definitely be buying the full size one when I run out of this one.
You apply to your face and neck morning and night and it claims to plump, smooth and make the skin look radiant, and it does exactly that as well as making my skin tone look even. it is a bit pricey but I would say it is 100% worth it.

                                                           £30.00/50ml (full size)

My favourite brush of may is the real techniques stippling brush, I've wanted one of these for so long as I love how soft the real techniques brushes are. I was a bit hesitant as first to use it with my foundation because I apply it with my fingers usually as I never get a good enough result with a brush so I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was but I was so impressed the first time I used it. The results were an airbrushed flawless finish and I even found that used less foundation as this buffed it into my skin as to usually just smearing it around with my hand.

£10.99

a closer look at the bristles.

Next is the Barry M Gelly nail polish in the colour prickly pear 316. its a really shinny pastel lilac colour, its a perfect fresh colour which I have been wearing all spring. I will definitely be buying more colours in the Gelly range as it still looks fresh and shinny after 3 days wear, which is perfect for me as I don't get time repaint my nails every other day. so this has a big thumbs up from me!

                                                                      £3.99/10ml

the mascara that I have been using non stop over may is the by jelly pong pong fairy lashes one, and again this one i got in my glossy box and it's actually full size so I was super impressed with that and will 100% be purchasing this! it is a water proof mascara which I'm yet to test out if it actually is but I will do that and let you know how water proof it is but aside from that its light and doesn't clump and my lashes still feel soft and not hard and crispy when its on. I also don't wear false lashes when I use this mascara as it makes my lashes looks so long on its own. I really am so happy with this product and think its the best mascara I've tried so far.

                                                                      £15.00/8ml

A closer look at the brush.

Another favourite is this lipstick from the Body shop, its the colour glide lip colour in the shade neon pink 59. I am totally in love with this lipstick its so moist on your lips even though the colour dries on you lips it doesn't make you lips feel dry. the best thing I love is that if you just lightly apply one coat to your lips it's just a light pink glossy look or you can apply about the three coats and its a matte bold colour.

                                                                        £10.00/4g

A swatch of the lipstick.

And last but not least my obsession of the month the eos organic lip balm in honeysuckle honeydew, I love, love, love it! it tastes amazing my lips feel so soft and moisturised and I literally take it with me very where. This is a definite must have and I can never imagine not having this to go to when my lips are dry or chapped now. if you haven't tried it you must and a bonus is it comes in so many different flavours so there definitely one to suit everyone.

I'm also very excited to try more eos products!

£5.99/7g

Spend or save....designer vs high street

Hi!

So it's mine and my boyfriend James' two year anniversary this week and I've ask him to get me a new handbag but like any normal man he hasn't got a clue what one get me so I have had to show him a few I like and he is going to pick out of the ones I like. So at least I know I'll like it :)
And while I was choosing and saving lots of pictures to my IPad of gorgeous bags I love, I thought I would do a post on designer and designer inspired high street.
So if you like me can't afford to always splurge out on that beautiful designer bag here are some just as nice and with just as nice price tag....enjoy!

DIY midi ring tutorial

Hi!

I just wanted to share with you my first ever video I've made and edited, it has taken me quite a while to get it done but I am really pleased with it as like I said it is my first attempt so I expected it to not even be anything how its turned out. And also with it being filmed on my iPad it was so hard to actually get it in the right position but with a little help from some DVDs and a hairspray can it worked!

I've had to post the link as i couldn't  upload the video on to here.

So I hope you enjoy it :)
